Life as a Survey Technician involves hands-on work across Indiana. As a vital member of our field crew, you will lead efforts in staking out new construction sites for roads, bridges, and buildings. This position requires a resilient work ethic, as you will work outdoors in all types of weather.

Key Responsibilities :
- Operate Survey Equipment : Efficiently manage a variety of survey instruments including robotic total stations, digital levels, and GPS devices to ensure precise measurement and data collection on construction sites.
- Interpret Construction Plans : Develop a thorough understanding of construction drawings and specifications to accurately lay out new projects and verify dimensions and locations on site.
- Crew Training and Assistance : Act as a mentor to new crew members, providing training and support in the use of survey equipment and understanding the daily responsibilities within the field crew.
- Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance : Maintain survey equipment and keep the survey vehicle stocked with necessary supplies to ensure operational readiness and efficiency.
- Supply Coordination : Work closely with office personnel to ensure a continuous supply of necessary survey materials, contributing to the smooth execution of projects.
- Project Calculations : Perform necessary calculations for the successful completion of daily survey tasks, ensuring accuracy in measurements and project outcomes.
