Key Responsibilities
- Claims Management
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of claims from initiation to resolution.
- Ensure thorough investigations and accurate documentation.
- Coverage Verification
- Review first notices of loss and interpret policy language.
- Prepare position letters for policyholders.
- Investigation
- Gather pertinent facts and statements; identify joint tortfeasors.
- Conduct necessary scene investigations.
- File Oversight
- Set initial reserves and adjust as claims evolve.
- Guide claims towards resolution through negotiation or trial.
- Customer Engagement
- Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries.
- Maintain high standards of customer service.
Qualifications
- Experience
- 3 to 7 years in claims handling or litigation; experience with professional claims is a plus.
- Education
- Advanced degrees or JD preferred; relevant designations (CPCU, AEI, RPLU, INS) are advantageous.
- Licenses
- Current state licenses required.
