Job Summary
The School of Child and Family Sciences is seeking someone with
excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to work collaboratively
with faculty, staff, and students within the school. The School values
accountability, high ethical standards, and personal integrity among employees.
The School also has demonstrated success in developing diverse faculty, and we
are especially interested in candidates from underrepresented groups as well as
individuals who have experience in working with diverse student populations. Adjunct faculty will teach undergraduate
students in child development and family relations. Classes are taught in a
variety of formats and platforms, including online, face-to-face, and full
semester sessions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and provide online and/or face-to-face course instruction
- Prepare and submit syllabi, grades and other required course documentation in a timely manner
- Communicate course requirements and expectations to students
- Communicate effectively with assigned faculty mentor
- Follow instructional protocols established by the university and the school
- Be available to student through office hours (face to face and/or virtual)
- Performs
other duties, as assigned
