Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mail Carrier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and timely delivery of mail and packages to designated locations. As a Mail Carrier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their correspondence and packages promptly.
Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages to residential and commercial addresses in a timely manner.
- Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, ensuring safe driving practices at all times.
- Load and unload mail from vehicles, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and customer signatures.
- Handle heavy lifting of parcels and boxes as required during the delivery process.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from recipients.
- Follow established routes while remaining flexible to accommodate changes in delivery schedules or routes.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is an advantage.
- Ability to operate various types of vehicles, including vans and box trucks.
- Strong physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks throughout the day.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Must be able to pass a background check as part of the hiring process.
