Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting, with knowledge of general ledger reconciliation. This role requires proficiency in financial software and account reconciliation. The Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports for management, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
Data Entry for sales, purchases, expenses and receipts
- Process vendor invoices and making payments while ensuring accuracy
- Generate customer invoices, maintain accounts receivable aging and collections
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Process bi-weekly payroll, print and mail W2s and 1099s
- Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements
- Provide documentation and assistance during annual review with external auditors
- Assist with financial forecasting including weekly cash flow and yearly budget preparation
- Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Proven experience in financial accounting.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation.
- Familiarity with financial report writing and auditing processes.
- Ability to work in multiple company files
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks Desktop) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
