POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director of HR provides leadership, consultative recommendations, and support for the following functions: strategic human resources (HRBP), employee relations, associate relations and the HR service center. Provides multi-faceted direction in developing and executing human capital strategy, organization design in complex care models and partners with operations to deliver value added HR Services. Promotes positive employee relations throughout the organization by ensuring development and implementation of consistent and equitable processes, providing guidance on best practices, identifying solutions and diffusing issues to mitigate risk, and maintaining legal compliance. Counsels associates and management on issues related to EEOC, ADA, performance, and termination guidelines. Oversees the development of an HR Service center. Provides oversight and guidance to the Associate Relations function.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Human Resources or a related field. Minimum of ten (10) years of HR experience at a large-sized organization required, preferably in a health care environment. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively more responsible management experience.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
PHR/SPHR designation is highly desirable.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Thorough knowledge of strategic HR functions and expertise in working in an HR Business Partner Model. Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical and organizational design expertise. Ability to identify issues and lead a team to create the strategic direction. General HR knowledge in other areas of Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides vision and critical leadership to manage the HR Business Partner, Employee Relations, HR Service Center and Associate Relations functions in support of the mission, vision, values, and culture.
- Collaborates with leadership to understand goals and strategy related to Human Resources and provides direction and contemporary solutions.
- Develops positive business relationships with associates and management staff through ensuring that issues are addressed in a comprehensive and collaborative manner.
- Ensures effective recording of data to help identify emerging internal trends and insights regarding associate issues and strategically leverages this data for the training and development of people.
- Leads the presentation and development of deep-dive analytics to provide understanding around the drivers of people management.
- Directs and collaborates with senior leadership and legal counsel in order to identify and develop solutions around employee relations issues.
- Oversees the effectiveness and compliance of all Associate Health and Workers Compensation issues. Ensures the reporting and compliance to various regulatory bodies. Aligns the department to our people well-being strategy.
- Develops the strategy and execution for the delivery of best-in-class customer service in a HR Service Center model. Performs strategic analysis and communicates finding and develops plans to elevate the experience.
- Partners with communications in elevating the integrated communication process.
- Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.

Salary : $98,000 - $124,000
