UW MEDICINE'S PATIENT FINANCIAL SERVICES has an outstanding opportunity for a PATIENT ACCOUNT REPRESENTATIVE 1
WORK SCHEDULE
40 hours per week
Day Shift
100% Onsite
Job Responsibilities
Post adjustments to patient accounts according to departmental procedures
Post and balance daily remittances to patient accounts; post allowances and adjustments accompanying cash remittances
Screen, scan and process incoming correspondence to ensure routing to appropriate work queues/units
Print, distribute and mail claims; process returned mail
Print medical records and itemizations as required for claims submission
Produce and print account summaries, itemizations, and other documents as required, in response to requests from attorneys and others
Perform data entry; document activities accurately in all applicable systems, and in accordance with departmental policies and procedures;
Maintain confidentiality of information, including protected health information
Participate in and attend meetings and trainings
Requirements
High School graduation or equivalent AND one year of experience in patient accounting, customer service, or a related office environment
OR
Equivalent education/experience.
