Job Title: Hotel Security Guard
Job Summary:
The Hotel Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, and hotel property. This role involves patrolling hotel premises, monitoring surveillance systems, responding to security incidents, and assisting guests and staff as needed. The ideal candidate is observant, professional, and capable of handling emergency situations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol hotel premises, including lobbies, hallways, parking areas, and restricted zones, to prevent and detect security threats.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to identify suspicious activities.
- Respond to guest complaints, disturbances, and emergency situations such as medical incidents, fire alarms, and theft.
- Enforce hotel rules and policies to maintain a safe environment.
- Assist with guest inquiries, lost-and-found items, and providing directions as needed.
- Work closely with front desk staff and management to report security concerns and suspicious activities.
- Document incidents accurately in security logs and prepare reports for management.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Control access to restricted areas and verify identification when required.
Requirements:
- Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations professionally.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid security license or certification (if required by local regulations).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs if needed.
Work Environment:
- Hotel premises, including indoor and outdoor areas.
