Experience :

  • Payroll Specialist : Five (5) years of related experience.
  • Lead Payroll Specialist : Seven (7) years of related experience.

Skills and Abilities :

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations affecting payroll functions.
  • Strong knowledge of taxable benefits.
  • General knowledge of accounting.
  • Proficient in use of ERP payroll and time and labor module, PeopleSoft preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization including external contacts.
  • Provides thorough and timely communication to leadership and team.
  • Thorough data entry and validation, documentation, and record-keeping abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage time, and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to solve complex problems.
