We are a privately owned pediatric clinic that has provided health care services for over 50 years. The clinic is proudly owned by the physicians who work here. We are committed to remaining strong and independent. With a total of 28 providers serving 5 Minnesota locations across Chaska, Delano, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, and Spring Park. All of our pediatricians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners are board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, or the National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Wayzata Children’s Clinic, through a partnership with V2V Management Solutions, is seeking an Executive Director to support the Clinic’s strategic initiatives and continued desire for growth.

V2V will be supporting Wayzata Children’s Clinic through the placement of an Executive Director in the Minnetonka, MN, locations.

Position Summary

The Executive Director is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of all approved strategies, tactics, policies, and procedures across the Wayzata Children’s Clinics. This role involves developing and managing a team of practice administrators/managers and support staff and monitoring the performance of internal and external vendors. The Executive Director reports directly to the President of the Board of Directors and Physician Owners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement strategies, policies, and procedures approved by the Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
  • Support the Board of Directors and its subcommittees, including preparing for monthly meetings and developing meeting minutes.
  • Lead the annual operational planning process to identify initiatives supporting the clinic's strategy, including practice development, human resource management, operations management, financial performance, and more.
  • Supervise, develop, and motivate a skilled team of clinic leaders, ensuring each clinic has an effective administrative leader.
  • Ensure the strategic, operational, and financial success of the Wayzata Children’s Clinic and its clinics, accountable for financial performance.
  • Work with the Board President and Medical Director on the strategic development of employed providers, including recruitment.
  • Propose and implement policies and procedures based on best operating practices.
  • Develop and implement Site-Specific Action Plans for each clinic, ensuring performance targets and timelines are met.
  • Oversee revenue cycle management for professional fee billing and represent the clinic in relationships with government agencies and third-party payers.
  • Provide ongoing management training to ensure the competence of all management staff.
  • Oversee the annual operating and capital budget preparation, review, and approval.
  • Represent Wayzata Children’s Clinics in appropriate external meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation trends and requirements.
  • Create and implement HR policies and activities, maintaining knowledge of HR compliance and labor laws.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Master’s degree in business or health care administration preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business administration, or related field required.

Experience:

  • Ten years of progressive operations management experience.
  • Five years of operations management experience as an executive in ambulatory care or physician practice management is required.
  • CMPE designation preferred.

  • Demonstrable understanding of and commitment to the mission and objectives of the organization.

Physical Demands

  • Will spend significant time communicating with others by phone and in person.
  • Will have a number of early morning and evening meetings.
  • Light physical effort (lift/carry up to 10 lbs.).
  • Mostly sedentary work.
  • Independent travel between clinic locations is required.
  • Occasional travel out of town.
  • May be exposed to or occasionally exposed to patients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
