The Manager of Quality Assurance position is primarily responsible for establishing a corporate quality assurance system that promotes customer satisfaction. Champion continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives to establish an effective quality management system (QMS).

Essential Functions
- Serves as the primary quality control resource for Product problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement at our Manufacturing facilities
- Establishes and implements metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring system effectiveness and to enable managers to make sound product quality decisions
- Performs root-cause analysis to identify effective corrective actions and initiate process improvements
- Establishes collection and analysis systems of statistical data to predict trends that will affect improvement of product quality
- Analyzes customers' product specifications to establish efficient, cost-effective requirements for ease of manufacture and reproducibility
- Develops process certification standards and assist in process certification on the floor
- Initiates and implements quality improvement activities as appropriate (continuous improvement) to raise the performance of the company's product lines
- Educates and trains employees as to their impact in the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Reviews customer purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans
- Interacts with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel
- Oversees calibration and testing programs
- Manages quality control personnel on a day-to-day basis
- Reviews suppliers purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements
- Participates in internal and external quality audits
- Interfaces with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and assure that effective corrective action is implemented
- Fifteen (15) years of experience minimum in ISO9001/AS9100 QA systems implementation and management, as a QA manager in a medium-size Electronics Manufacturing environment
- Having working knowledge in an Electronics Manufacturing environment with knowledge in SMT and Mechanical build techniques is required.
- Functional knowledge of ipc-a-610, familiarity with j-std-001 and the following:
- Printed circuit board inspection to ipc-a-610 class
- Electronic component identification and verification
- Knowledge of using Excel to present statical data are required skills
- Proficient knowledge of ESD procedures
- Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace
- Fluent domain of the English language: ability to read, write and speak English well
- Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions
