Snowmakers will assist in the production of machine made snow while striving for quality, safety, and efficiency to ensure an exceptional experience for our guests. The job duties of Intermediate Snowmakers include, but are not limited to:
- Performs visual inspections and routine maintenance of snow guns and hoses, including setup and tear down.
- Recognizes unsafe equipment and /or working conditions, corrects or advises more senior staff
- Assists with or responsible for loading , transporting and setting up snowmaking equipment in specific mountain conditions
- Develops a basic understanding of control /monitoring system
- Trains entry level staff on snowmaking logistics, equipment operation, snow quality checks and safety
Job Requirements:
- Previous snowmaking experience
- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
- Fluent in English
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Previous experience driving ATVs, snowmobiles and other equipment preferred
- Ability to work with various hand and power tools
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment
- Ability to work outside in adverse conditions
- Adhere to Departmental and Vail Resorts safety standards
