Snow Making Lead - Winter Seasonal, Full Time, Vail Mountain
Provides direction & leadership for a crew of snowmakers while insuring safe and efficient production of snow. Coordinates & problem solves with supervisor and other crew leads in daily snowmaking operation. Monitors all snowmaking activities during that shift while sharing all appropraite information with supervisor and other crew leads.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
- Responsible for the personal safety of fellow employees & guests.
- Institute safe, efficient, maximum snow production.
- Recognize and correct unsafe equpment and/ or working conditions.
- Assist & direct crew in load, transport, and set-up of snowmaking equipment at proper locations on Vail Mountain.
- Assist in implementing the snowmaking training program.
- Maintain & repair snow making related equipment under guidance of supervisor, forman, & service reps.
- Monitor the snowmaking stats & data on the computerized monitoring system.
- All associated duties assigned to snowmaking team.
Qualifications:
- One year of snowmaking experience - required.
- High School Diploma or GED - required.
- Fluent in English both written and verbal - required.
- Must be able to stand for up to eight hours - required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs - required.
