General Position Description
Provides project leadership of all grant activities, including management of the budget, hiring and supervision of personnel, communication of the project objectives to stakeholders and implementation of activities, and evaluation support of outcomes that lead to meeting the objectives of the Title V grant. The position requires collaborative leadership to ensure that grant expectations are met by all key grant personnel in accordance with federal and state guidelines. This position aims to increase the enrollment, retention, and completion rates of underserved students, including those from low-income backgrounds, and/or non-traditional students, specifically adults ages 25 years or older, in alignment with the goals of the U.S. Department of Education (ED) Title V Developing Hispanic Serving Institutions (DHSI) grant program.

Fully On-site: Employee performs all of their job duties at a Valencia College location, with flexibility in the work schedule, if appropriate.

Essential Job Functions
Description of Job Function
1. Provides oversight for all grant-related activities to include program marketing, strategic activity planning, making informed operational decisions, and ensuring data collection, reporting, and other evaluation support for outcomes that lead to the goal of the project.

3. Completes and submits all applicable quarterly and annual reports (including data collection) in collaboration with the Steering Committee to evaluate the project and ensure compliance with grant requirements.

4. Analyzes outreach and operational strategies aimed at adult learners to enhance educational outcomes and assists in developing research-informed methods for the project.

5. Establishes and maintains effective communication channels and procedures to ensure that the operation of the project remains congruent with the college’s strategic impact plan.

6. Manages the Title V grant program budget in collaboration with the appropriate Accountable Administrator and the Grants Accounting Office.

7. Ensures that all external assistance, consultants, and other contractual purchases are operating and executed according to established timelines and in accordance with college policies and procedures.

8. Leads and supervises the Title V grant project team in creating and implementing the learning opportunities that promote the goals of the grant.

Required Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution, or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.
Required Field of Study

Four (4) years of related experience in project management, contract development, data analysis and reporting, grant and budget management. Supervisory and team building experience as well as experience in developing, marketing, and presenting trainings and programs.

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
