As the Director of Accounts Receivable, you will lead and oversee the accounts receivable (AR) functions across our organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimized collections, and alignment with organizational objectives. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. You’ll drive AR process enhancements, collaborate across business units, and manage client relationships to ensure efficient revenue collection and account reconciliation.
Things You’ll Do Here:
Leadership and Team Development
- Manage and mentor the AR team, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and high performance.
- Provide dynamic leadership to the AR team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Identify training opportunities and professional development initiatives to enhance team capabilities.
- Ensure resource allocation aligns with department goals and evolving business needs.
- Lead all AR functions across Vālenz subsidiaries, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Develop and implement AR strategies to optimize collections, cash flow, and client account management.
- Oversee collection activities and liaise with clients on account balances, payment activities, and related inquiries to ensure timely and effective resolution of outstanding balances.
- Review and reconcile complex client accounts, ensuring discrepancies are addressed promptly.
- Oversee General Ledger month-end close activities related to AR, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Evaluate current AR processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Design and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial data and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the Controller, Assistant Controllers, and IT teams on system integrations, such as NetSuite and Salesforce, to streamline operations.
- Serve as a liaison between AR, Operations, and other business units to address client concerns and resolve account-related issues.
- Partner with the broader finance and accounting team to align AR activities with organizational objectives.
- Generate and present AR performance reports to senior leadership, offering insights and actionable recommendations.
- Support annual financial audits, providing required documentation and analysis.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles, with experience in leadership positions.
- Expertise in NetSuite and familiarity with Salesforce or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to drive process improvements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Experience developing and maintaining internal controls in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- CPA or advanced degree.
