Part - Time Front Desk Associate - Veterinary Services

Valley Animal Hospital has a culture of high standards, professional dedication and an unrelenting commitment to excellence. Our front desk associates provide the initial “face” for Valley Animal Hospital to our clients.

Qualifications:

• High School Degree or Equivalent
• Will receive on-the-job training

Skills:

• Good communication, interpersonal and public relation skills
• Computer skills
• Ability to be organized, work in a fast paced environment

Duties:

• Participate in facility management utilizing traditional and electronic media and appropriate veterinary medical terminology and abbreviations.
• Communicate in a professional manner
• Schedule appointments through phone and in-person contact
• Recognize and respond to veterinary medical emergencies.
• Work with Vet Techs to admit, discharge and triage patients
• Create and maintain individual client records, vaccination certificates and other appropriate forms through EZyVet, our practice management software.
• Be familiar with lab submissions.
• Perform basic filing of medical records, radiographs and lab reports, etc
• Handle client deposits and final bills.

Employees must be flexible with schedules including some evening, weekend and holiday hours.

Please note, we have a Zero Drug Tolerance Policy and a pre-employment drug test is required

Must have reliable transportation

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 29 per week
