What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Reviewer II position at Valley Bank?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist Loan Review Department Manager in establishing goals, objectives, and plans for the department.
- Assist in implementing the tools and techniques needed to accomplish goals.
- Assist in the department's follow-up on identified issues.
- Independently assess credit quality.
- Evaluate accuracy and timeliness of loan officer assigned risk ratings.
- Test loan officer compliance to Bank policies/procedures.
- Test for compliance with applicable federal laws/regulations.
- Assess management supervision of lending portfolios.
- Prepare written/oral communications and reports.
- Identify, communicate, and support issues that need corrective action and other recommendations for improvement.
- Interact with and support other credit related functions within the Bank.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory and Audit Committee reports as directed.
- Participate in due diligence activities of potential acquisitions.
- Provide training to Junior Loan Review Officers/Loan Review Officers.
- Guide and lead Junior Loan Review Officers/Loan Review Officers in achieving departmental objectives.
- Evaluate investment security risk ratings according to Valley standards.
