Job Description
The Heart & Vascular Service Lines Business Operations Manager is responsible for organizing and managing business and financial functions within heart and vascular services, including billing, data/analytics, and contract and supply chain management. This role collaborates with the heart and vascular management team and Vice President for Heart & Vascular Services to develop operational and capital budgets, monthly budget variance reports, operational dashboards and partner with the business analytics team on heart and vascular projects, and market share reports to track trends. The Business Operations Manager will participate in multi-disciplinary committees at multiple levels of leadership and align areas of responsibilities to meet performance metrics and strategies of the department and Valley Health System.
The Business Operations Manager will be responsible for facilitating and driving projects and processes to advance quality, efficiency and standardization of services within heart and vascular services. Utilize Lean processes and tools to facilitate process improvement. Proficient with Excel, HBI, Tableau and Axiom. Anticipate active changes in care delivery and position the team for success such as new technologies, alternative payment programs, increases in outpatient care services, others as appropriate. Partner with marketing to further the brand and reputation of the heart and vascular service line
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Heathcare Administration, or related field required
Master's degree (MBA or MHA) in a related field is required
Experience
Minimum of 5 years in healthcare related and/or heart and vascular experience re quired
Qualifications
Must have an in-depth knowledge of typical cardiology procedural areas such as the Cath lab, electrophysiology services, cardiac imaging, cardiac surgery programs, data analytics and informatics, organizational governance, supply/distribution process, inventory management, patient billing and audit, coding regulations.
Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills .
Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet software applications: Excel, Tableau, Lawson, Axiom, and HBI. Advanced understanding of financial data, reports, budget, cost analysis and utilization.
