What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Aides position at Valley Manor?
Now Hiring- FULL TIME activity aide. Hours can be flexible. We would love to fill some of our evening shifts, but would also need some day shift coverage. All activity aides also work every other weekend and every other holiday.
Activity Aide
Activity aides provide fun and engaging activities and games to our residents focusing on their individual interests. Activity aides lead small and large group activities according to the programming schedule and provide one-on-one engagement to room-bound residents. Leisure activities help to make our residents' lives meaningful and purposeful and improve residents' quality of life. Qualifications for Activity Aide:
- Experience with activities or therapeutic recreation is a plus
- Experience working with persons with dementia is a plus
- Experience working in a healthcare setting and with older adults is preferred
