Summary
As the Development Director at Valley Oaks Health, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by leading strategic initiatives that enhance our efforts and community engagement. This position is essential in ensuring the sustainability of our services while fostering relationships that support mental health awareness and accessibility.
Responsibilities
- Leads new business development projects including, but not limited to targeted referral development, key stakeholder relationship development, and business planning.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community, regional, and statewide partners in the interest of furthering the VOH mission through partnerships, funding, or employment.
- Lead brand ambassador
- Develops and implements a marketing, social media and communications strategy for the corporation that builds and maintains a positive and engaging corporate brand.
- Produces, procures, and posts content which positively influences public opinion of the company brand
- Lead public and stakeholder facing focus groups to understand community health needs and build bi-directional information sharing opportunities to inform strategy and marketing opportunities.
- Creates and disseminates internal and external corporate communications per marketing plan and on an ad hoc basis leveraging an intentional mix of media platforms (digital, print, video, etc.)
- Develops and maintains relationships with community partners, stakeholders, local organizations, and members of the media to ensure proactive coverage opportunities.
- Organizes, leads, and participates in community events, workshops, and other outreach activities to promote the agency. Available on select evenings and weekends for events.
- Executes the continuous development and maintenance of the corporate website (currently Word-Press).
- Develops, implements, and adheres to marketing budget.
- Manages corporate SWAG store.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite or related software
- Proficient in Wordpress, multiple social media platforms, and online analytics experience preferred
- Ability to work with corporate management, employees, media and the larger community
- Excellent managerial and organizational abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate efforts of various teams in order to present a coherent message.
