This scheduler position is to register patients for their appointments, answer the phone, schedule and arrive patients for their imaging exams. Be courteous, helpful and positive face for the department M-F (8-hour shifts).
Valley View's busy Imaging Department is seeking full-time, patient-focused Patient Services Specialists with excellent customer service skills to be the first contact for our patients. Previous Customer Service experience in a medical setting highly preferred.
This position is for WEEKDAYS, no evenings, no nights, no weekends, no holidays.
Responsibilities include: providing patients with professional and friendly reception duties; organizing patient flow; keeping Imaging providers and patients on schedule; maintaining patient files and accounts in a professionally accurate manner; and handling phone calls for the department, techs, and providers appropriately. Patient care background and medical scheduling experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clerical: typing, filing, scheduling, computer, phone
- Exceptional customer service skills required
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Receptionist/clerical experience required
- Patient care background and/or medical scheduling experience preferred.
SALARY
- $19.00 - $27.75/hour
- Starting salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
