Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery
About the Role:
Valley View Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery team. As an RN in this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients during labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn stages.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate across disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient support and advocacy for their physical and emotional well-being
- Demonstrate clinical competence and efficiency in care of the patient in labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn, as defined in hospital and departmental policies, professional practice, standards/guidelines, and the Law/rules regulating the practice of Nursing (AZ board of nursing)
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
- Collaborate as needed with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in nursing; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Active RN license from Arizona or a compact license
- Basic Fetal Monitoring certification within 30 days of hire
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
