ALUMNI RELATIONS COORDINATOR
This position offices in-person, on campus
ROLE SUMMARY
The Alumni Relations Coordinator is responsible for building and maintaining a premier program for alumni relations at Valor Christian High School. Connecting with and engaging the Valor alumni community in meaningful ways throughout the year is key. The Alumni Relations Coordinator will maintain and enhance the framework that will support 3000 current alumni and numerous future alumni. To accomplish this strategic goal, the Alumni Relations Coordinator will actively manage and develop relationships with alumni, alumni parents, and faculty and staff.

Primary Alumni Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and evaluate strategies and programs related to Alumni, fostering a supportive and engaged alumni community
- Plan, organize and execute alumni events including leading presentations to University and alumni groups
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create content that highlights alumni achievements and promotes alumni engagement
- Implement new initiatives and programs designed to enhance the alumni relations activities
- Maintain and update a dynamic alumni database, tracking engagement, contact and general information
- Work closely with faculty and staff to involve alumni in mentoring volunteering and other activities that support current students and the broader school community
- Develop a volunteer structure to help lead the alumni association through officer positions and class committees, identifying, recruiting, and managing alumni volunteers to serve on committees
- Partner with the Valor Parents Association and actively collaborate with the VPA to create alumni and parent networking opportunities
Advancement Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the Advancement team to coordinate and lead alumni giving campaigns, including fostering relationships and connections that will encourage a culture of giving from our Valor alumni and alumni parents
- Lead efforts to identify and cultivate potential major donors among the alumni network and their families, working in coordination with the Advancement team.
- Support fundraising efforts in conjunction with the finance and accounting team by recommending innovative ways to accept alumni contributions or pledges
- Support and assist the Advancement team as needed

The Valor alumni base will continue to grow and Valor alumni will feel that they are connected to a community that cares for them and desires to be in an active and ongoing relationship with them that will extend for generations to come. Valor alumni will be inspired to give generously to the enVision annual campaign.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3-5 years of work experience preferred
- Experience in philanthropy, events, or advancement a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish, build and maintain effective relationships
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written
- Proficiency with Mac computers, Microsoft Office, Google Suite (Mail, Docs, Drive, Calendar), donor database systems preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The basic physical demands described here are the same for all employees to successfully perform the essential functions of their jobs. Employees must periodically lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and could occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT
