Service Manager - Refrigeration Manager

Van Ernst Refrigeration is urgently seeking a career-driven individual to join our team of skilled technicians as a Refrigeration Service Manager.

Van Ernst Refrigeration has been serving the Rochester, NY area for over 40 years. We service a wide variety of systems from small self-contained units to multimillion dollar cold storage facilities. We pride ourselves on employing technicians that can handle the wide variety of HVAC and Refrigeration systems in today’s market. All our technicians are versatile in the ability to provide the upmost customer satisfaction whether it be routine preventative maintenance or large scale HVAC/R installations and repairs. As a Refrigeration Service Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Dispatching: Efficiently coordinate and assign service calls to technicians to ensure prompt responses to customer needs.
• Customer Contact: Maintain regular communication with customers to schedule services, follow up on completed work, and address any questions or concerns.
• Organization: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations by maintaining accurate records, managing schedules, and overseeing service workflows.
• Follow-up: Conduct follow-up calls with customers to ensure satisfaction and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Problem Solving: Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Team Management: Assist in coordinating and supporting a team of technicians to maintain service quality and meet company goals.

Experience:

• Mechanical aptitude with the self-driven ability to apply creative thinking.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems, equipment repair, and HVAC systems.
• Strong dispatching and customer service experience
• Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience working in field service is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Pay: $28.00 - $50.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Year round work

Supplemental Pay:

• Overtime pay
