Van Maanen Electric, Inc. currently has an opening for a receptionist. This will be a full- time position; 8-5 Monday through Friday. This staff member will perform assigned receptionist and clerical tasks and work as a member of the team to provide administrative support for the office staff.
- As a Van Maanen Electric employee, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Duties include customer service and administrative support across the organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.
- Printing Vinyl Labeling
- Closeouts for Commercial Projects
- Experience with a Plotter and Label Machines is helpful
- Responding promptly to customer inquiries.
- Communicating with customers through various channels.

The successful candidate will be professional, friendly, organized, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and proficient with using a computer and Microsoft Office.
- Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines, label machines, and printers)
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Excellent organizational skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks

- High school diploma, additional experience Office Management is a plus

- Greet and welcome guests
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
- Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
- Ensure front desk area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
- Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
- Update calendars and schedule meetings
- Communicate with General Contractors & Vendors
