Position Overview: Inside Sales Position
The inside sales position who is an energetic, dynamic, customer focused person and enjoys engaging with clients. As an Inside Sales/ Showroom Associate, you will be responsible for generating sales through showroom experience, lead generation, cold calling, and client relations. This position is responsible for expanding the Vande Hey Company business plan by growing our client base. Acquire new leads by networking and prospecting clients who profile our brand and demographic. Present and sell Vande Hey Company installation and services to new and existing client.
Sales Responsibilities
Communication
- Provide comprehensive information about our landscape solutions, answering queries, and guiding them through the selection process.
- Operates and manages incoming communication from clients, in-person, phone, and email communications.
- Support outside sales team to understand customer needs, offer products recommendations, and contribute to sale process.
- Prepare proposals, Job folders, process orders, and coordinate them with the administration and production team, to ensure timely delivery and installation.
- Assist outside sales and clients with technical product knowledge for all products offered. This includes Hardscape, pools, structures, lighting, athletics, artificial turf, outdoor living accessories and furniture and general landscape needs.
Training
- Stay informed about the latest trends, featuring our landscape products, ensuring accurate and up to date information for clients.
- Continue to learn and grow in sales and customer service.
- Complete training in and master Vande Hey Software, policies, and procedures.
- Be knowledgeable of plant finder on the Vande Hey Website.
Day to Day requirements:
Client Service
- Approach all communication with clients with politeness and enthusiasm.
- Greet customers in a timely and friendly manner.
- Manage a complete show room experience to clients.
- Professional in person greeting to best determine the clients needs and properly direct them to the appropriate channel. Walk them through the sales cycle that best fits there needs.
- Ensure Showroom is well organized and visually appealing, including, but not limited to; product displays, pricing, and signage and cleanliness of the showroom.
- Maintain positive long-term client relations assisting existing clients with technical knowledge in all service areas.
- Identify client concerns to resolve issues and improve processes for efficiencies.
- Be aware of all product availability, pricing and sourcing.
- Assist in hosting client events both during and outside of regular operating showroom hours.
Team Work
- Work with sales manager and marketing team to promote showroom events and sale initiatives.
- Work with Sales Coordinator to establish qualifying leads.
- Maintain regular communication with operations for loading, delivery, pickup, install, and assembly of products.
- Communicate with outside sales and production personnel for trouble shooting of challenges and ensuring the best overall client experience from our team.
- Due to the seasonally of our business for year around work, snow removal maybe required.
- Responsible for other duties as assigned or needed to collaboratively help others.
Production of Quality of Work
- Develop and implement plans and strategies to attain new clients and retain existing clients.
- Increase sales to existing Vande Hey Clients by pursuing and reaching out to our existing client base for accessorizing opportunities.
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals.
Additional responsibilities
- Utilize company CRM in entirety. Capture client communication and record pertinent information in detail.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales and customer service role, preferably in a showroom environment.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- To be organized and attention to detail.
- Ability to use a smart phone or data-enabled device for communication and reporting.
- Ability to learn Computer software for client management.
Education and Training
- Completion of inside sales training or certification is a plus.
- Completion of company training assignments.
- Business degree preferred.
- High School Diploma- Required
Experience
Inside Sales Experience of 3 or more years- Required
License
Valid Driver’s License- required, clean record, ability to travel.
Personal Characteristics Profile:
Must work well independently and a part of a team. Must be self-motivated, be able to make accurate and timely decisions daily. Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting for prolonged periods for 4 or more hours. Twisting or bending for 2 hours or more. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. or more.
