Chief People Officer

Our client is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead and evolve their people strategy at the highest level. As a key member of the C-suite, the CPO will oversee all aspects of human resources, including talent management, leadership development, employee engagement, total rewards, and organizational design. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building high-performing teams within well-established organizations, with a history of tenure reflecting stability and leadership growth. This role is onsite in McMinnville, Oregon.

Chief People Officer Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the company’s mission and business goals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and employee engagement across the organization.
  • Provide executive leadership in all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Partner with senior leadership to drive change management and organizational growth.
  • Design and oversee strategic compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain top talent.
  • Implement performance management initiatives that promote accountability and professional development.
  • Lead HR technology optimization efforts to streamline processes and enhance employee experience.
  • Ensure compliance with evolving regulations and best practices across multiple locations.
  • Mentor and develop the HR leadership team, including the Director of HR and other key people leaders.

Chief People Officer Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 15 years of progressive HR experience across talent management, learning and development, compensation, and employee relations.
  • 10 years of leadership experience, including managing and scaling HR teams.
  • Demonstrated success in driving cultural transformation and leadership development.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in organizational development, change management, and HR technology optimization.
  • SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.

Salary: $200k-$300k/year. (DOE) Benefits
