Plant Controller position functions as a business partner with Plant and financial management to effectively manage and control the local business. The controller ensures accurate financial records and provides financial strategic insights to support business decisions. This position will lead the financial staff at the Plant and is accountable for plant-level responsibilities including general accounting, cost accounting, payables, receivables / billing, bill of materials, business analysis, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and execute all aspects of accounting, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Ensure month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare financial statements and present to the executive team
- Monitor the company's annual budget in collaboration with the leadership team
- Implement and conduct internal audits of the company's financial statements and processes to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure the company is compliant with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings
- Forecast financials to support strategic planning
- Create detailed financial models to forecast future revenues, expenses, and cash flows.
- Create models for budgeting, long-term planning, and scenario analysis.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop financial strategies that support long-term goals
- Stay up to date on financial regulations and ensure the company is compliant with any new financial regulations
- Manage relationships with company accounting firms
- Collaborate with the leadership team to identify opportunities for the company to improve its financial position.
Financial Statements and Financial Reporting skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Lean Accounting experience a plus
Proficiency with ERP systems, including implementation and optimizations
Epicor experience a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy while keeping an eye on the big picture
Advanced Microsoft Excel and minimum 5-7 years experience in automated accounting system

Education
Qualifications
5 years of experience in manufacturing industry
7 years of progressive accounting management experience, including at least 3 years as Controller or similar leadership role.
Cost Accounting experience
Able to challenge the status quo while being objective and maintaining effective relationships with other leaders.
