Description
Summary / Objective
The Environmental Health, and Safety Manager will implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment across multiple, rapidly growing factories in Waco, TX.
Essential Functions
1. Daily On-Site Attendance.
2. Ensure company compliance with Federal, State and Local Environmental, Health & Safety laws and regulations.
3. Inspects Facilities to identify Safety, Health, and Environmental risks.
4. Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
5. Develops Health and Safety Procedures for all areas of the Business.
6. Prepares and schedules Training to cover Emergency Procedures, Workplace Safety, and other relevant topics.
7. Monitors compliance with Safety Procedures.
8. Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
9. Ensures that Safety Data Sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
10. Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and / or pollutants, as required.
11. Advise on provisions to minimize safety risks.
12. Keep records of Safety-Related Incidents and propose Corrective Actions.
13. Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues.
14. Participates in Daily 5S Walk-Thru(s).
15. Champions the business Operating System as it relates to Safety.
16. Drive all business EHS KPI's.
17. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not oversee any direct reports but oversees all Environmental Health & Safety activities across all Departments within the Business including multiple factories.
Environment / Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
- Prolonged periods of walking and standing on factory floor.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7 : 00am to 3 : 30pm. However, as with any Management position, days may be longer. Some weekends may be involved, if need be. Employee is expected to work the hours necessary in order to timely and satisfactorily complete all necessary work tasks.
Travel
Regular travel is not required.
