Responsibilities
- Responsible for account development within an established geographic territory
- Builds and manages relationships with current customers, identifies new customers and develops relationships for the purpose of selling assigned Varian products
- Under minimal supervision, performs all sales functions in assigned territory, to include:
- analyzing territory for sales potential
- developing and implementing effective sales strategies
- maintaining appropriate level of territory coverage
- planning and executing effective sales calls
- scheduling and performing product demonstrations
- managing the sales order/quotation process
- serving as a consultative resource to customers
- achieving superior level of overall customer satisfaction
- providing regular customer and market feedback to company
- Represents Varian ethics, values, and business practices with all internal and external constituents.
Skills and Knowledge
- Results oriented to ensure achievement of the sales targets, customer satisfaction and market share goals
- Display high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross functional problems
- Experience with sales quotas, forecasting, and selling in a complex environment
- Successful track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
- Product knowledge and ability to effectively conduct demonstrations
- Industry knowledge
- Time and territory management
- Responsiveness and reliability
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years' experience in sales role, healthcare field preferred.
- Willing to travel up to 75% of the time
Additional Requirements:
Position must have full access to Varian client sites to perform the essential functions of this position. Many clients require Varian employees and representatives to meet certain Vendor Credentialing requirements before they will be allowed to have access to their sites. Unless prohibited by law, position must meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to have full client access and must continue to meet those requirements during the course of employment in this position. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver's license, SSN) Criminal background checks Drug screens Immunizations (COVID-19, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus) Annual TB testing Healthcare trainings

The base pay range for this position is
Min $83,900 - Max $151,200The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
