The Role

We are looking for a Senior Construction Estimator who thrives in a start-up environment and can contribute to our next phase of success. In this hybrid role, you will be integral in securing both public and private sector contracts, managing estimates, and ensuring that we remain competitive and profitable. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead estimating efforts for both private and public construction projects, ranging from $100K to $5M in size.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to define project scope, budget, and timelines.
• Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Conduct site visits to assess project scope and potential risks.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and ensure competitive pricing.
• Support the preparation and submission of bids and proposals.
• Manage and track project budgets and changes in scope throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to the growth of the business by identifying new opportunities and providing insights on industry trends.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Foster a culture of excellence, both within the team and with external partners.

Qualifications:

• 7 years of experience as a construction estimator, with a strong track record of securing private and public work.
• Proven experience estimating projects ranging from $100K to $5M in value.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive, accurate, and competitive bids.
• Experience working with construction estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A strong cultural fit with a passion for building a culture of excellence.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred, but not required).
