Summary :
The VP / Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading VBG’s IT function, driving strategic technology initiatives, and overseeing a cross-functional IT team consisting of network support engineers, software developers, and product managers. This leader will play a critical role in enhancing claims processing workflows through continued Salesforce development, process automation, and AI-driven efficiencies.
This role requires a hands-on leader with expertise in IT infrastructure, enterprise software development, and process optimization. The VP / Director of IT will oversee technology strategy, software development, IT security, and infrastructure management while driving the scalability of IT systems to support VBG’s growth and client service objectives.
The role reports to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and is a key driver of technology-enabled business transformation at VBG.

Technology Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with VBG’s business and operational objectives.Oversee Salesforce development and customization to support enhanced claims processing workflows.Identify and implement AI-driven automation solutions to optimize claims processing, file management, and workflow efficiencies.Evaluate and recommend emerging technology solutions to enhance productivity, scalability, and automation.Provide executive leadership with regular updates on IT initiatives, performance metrics, and strategic opportunities.IT Infrastructure & Security
Oversee the design, deployment, and management of IT systems, cloud infrastructure, and security frameworks.Ensure high availability, reliability, and cybersecurity across all IT operations.Develop and enforce data governance, compliance policies, and risk mitigation strategies.Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning to safeguard mission-critical operations.Cross-Functional IT Leadership
Lead and mentor a cross-functional IT team, including network support engineers, developers, and product managers.Define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for IT staff, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.Ensure smooth collaboration between IT, Operations, Business Intelligence, and other departments to drive cross-functional success.Oversee IT support services, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and optimizing end-user experiences.Project & Product Management
Project Management :
Lead and oversee long-term strategic planning for all IT projects, ensuring they align with business priorities and operational goals.Manage Salesforce enhancements, infrastructure projects, and software development initiatives, ensuring on-time and high-quality execution.Establish agile project management methodologies, ensuring efficient backlog management, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.Product Management :
Define and manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for IT-driven solutions, ensuring alignment with business and user needs.Collaborate closely with Operations, Business Intelligence, and development teams to refine Salesforce workflows and other critical IT systems.Champion a customer-centric approach in technology solutions, ensuring that employee and client experiences drive product decisions.Develop user research strategies, conduct usability testing, and gather feedback to improve IT systems and tools.Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of IT initiatives and product rollouts.Process Automation & AI Integration :
Design and implement AI-driven automation solutions to streamline claims processing and document management workflows.Leverage machine learning and intelligent process automation to improve operational efficiency.Work with Business Intelligence teams to integrate predictive analytics and automation tools for data-driven decision-making.Vendor & Budget Management :
Oversee IT vendor selection, contract negotiations, and service level agreements to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective investments in technology infrastructure, software development, and security.Evaluate third-party solutions for integration with VBG’s systems, ensuring seamless interoperabilityQualifications or Competencies :
10 years of experience in IT leadership, preferably in technology-driven operations, insurance, financial services, or claim processing industries.Proven experience leading cross-functional IT teams, including network engineers, developers, and product managers.Strong background in project and product management, with experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder technology initiatives.Deep expertise in Salesforce development and administration, with a strong understanding of workflow automation and custom integrations.Experience driving automation initiatives, AI-powered workflows, and process optimization strategies.Strong background in cloud computing, cybersecurity, enterprise IT architecture, and software development methodologies.Ability to align IT strategy with business objectives and effectively communicate technical solutions to executive leadership.Preferred Skills & Competencies
Experience implementing AI and machine learning technologies to improve operational efficiencies.Familiarity with DevOps, CI / CD pipelines, and agile software development practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize business processes through technology.Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities, with experience managing distributed teams.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex IT concepts into business language.Education and Previous Work Experience :
