Part-Time Volunteer Service Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and organized Part-Time Volunteer Service Coordinator to join our team in Richmond, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the Volunteer program in surrounding communities, ensuring quality office support services are provided, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment that encourages volunteer engagement and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development and implementation of volunteer programs, ensuring they meet the needs of our community and organization.
• Work closely with office staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of administrative volunteer services.
• Develop and maintain accurate records of volunteer services, including hours worked and services delivered.
• Recruit, interview, and select qualified volunteers based on their skills and availability.
• Design and deliver comprehensive volunteer orientation and training programs, equipping volunteers with the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
• Regularly evaluate volunteer performance, providing constructive feedback and opportunities for growth and development.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to volunteering, ensuring our organization remains compliant and forward-thinking.

Requirements:

• Possession of a Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with volunteers, colleagues, and clients.
• Prior experience in healthcare, particularly in home care and recruitment, is highly valued.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
