Position Overview:
Vector is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Superintendent to oversee a team of Sewer Camera (CCTV) Operators. This key leadership role will be responsible for ensuring that the team performs CCTV sewer inspections effectively and in accordance with company and safety standards. The Superintendent will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality work, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead and manage a team of Sewer Camera (CCTV) Operators, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee daily activities of the CCTV inspection team to ensure all inspections are completed timely, accurately, and safely.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members follow health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), while operating equipment.
- Reporting & Documentation: Review and approve detailed inspection reports generated by team members, ensuring clarity and accuracy for clients.
- Equipment Management: Ensure the proper maintenance and use of remote-controlled sewer camera equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and compliant with safety standards.
- Quality Control: Monitor work output to ensure that all inspections meet company and client specifications, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
- Team Coordination: Provide labor support for specialty crews as needed and manage coordination of team members in the field.
- Training & Development: Conduct training sessions for new hires and provide ongoing development opportunities for current team members to enhance their skills and expertise.
- Weather and Time Flexibility: Ensure the team is prepared and adaptable to work in varying weather conditions and handle long hours as needed.
- Compliance & Regulations: Ensure team members comply with all federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations regarding construction warning signs, safety protocols, and operations.
- Communication: Foster effective communication between team members, other departments, and management to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in managing teams within the construction or ancillary services industry, preferably in sewer camera (CCTV) inspections.
- In-depth understanding of CCTV inspection techniques and equipment (preferred).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality control.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and under extreme weather conditions.
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to changing project needs.
- Clear current state drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug tests, including marijuana, and comply with Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations.
- Ability to pass a background check.
