Who You Are
The successful Senior Product Analyst will :
Conduct complex analysis to support business decisions on the assigned product
Provide thoughtful recommendations to the managers on product, pricing and underwriting
Analyze competitor information to assess market positioning and develop strategic initiatives
Build tools via Excel or Tableau to create efficiencies in every aspect of work, especially in analyzing metrics
Utilize SQL or Snowflake to extract and manipulate data to gain a deeper understanding of the behavior of the business
Monitor leading and lagging indicators to ensure health of the business
Lead compliance efforts to aid in forms development
What You"ll Do
Develop, prepare, and interpret statistical analyses of key business metrics to help support strategic decisions within the business unit
Supports the management of all commercial line products
Develop, interpret, and present analysis and proposals to various stakeholder groups to help solve mid-to-high-level business problems
Employ basic statistical techniques to model various underwriting and pricing business practices
Supports product and pricing changes, working closely with sales, underwriting and operations to meet business goals
Work with the Senior Product Manager to develop the strategy and roadmap for initiatives you own.
Analyze the results of initiatives you own, provide insights into their performance, and recommend improvements
Lead small projects or help lead portions of larger projects
Monitor leading and lagging indicators to ensure health of the business
Special projects and other advanced opportunities will be presented to Analysts who demonstrate potential through outstanding execution of day-to-day tasks.
What You"ll Need
College Degree required. Major in Math, Economics, Finance, Insurance or Business preferred
1 – 3 years related experience in commercial property insurance, liability experience strongly preferred
Proficiency in VBA and SQL strongly preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong analytical skills and financial acumen
Ability to manipulate and analyze data, and use reason and logic to draw conclusions
