What You'll Do :

The VP of Innovations will lead the data analytics, business intelligence (BI), and artificial intelligence (AI) teams in designing, implementing, and optimizing data-driven solutions across the organization. Reporting directly to the Global CTO, you will guide a team of data engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, effective, and innovative data solutions that improve business performance and support data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data management, analytics, and AI technologies, along with strong leadership capabilities to drive innovation, improve processes, and mentor a talented team.

Job Duties :

  • Leadership & Strategy : Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers, ensuring alignment with business goals and the IT department's strategic objectives. Develop and implement a forward-looking data strategy that integrates BI and AI to optimize business operations.
  • Data Architecture & Engineering : Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures that support BI, analytics, and AI applications. Ensure robust data governance practices and data quality standards are followed across the organization.
  • Business Intelligence & Analytics : Direct the creation of dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions that provide actionable insights to key business stakeholders. Collaborate with business leaders to ensure that BI tools and data-driven solutions meet organizational needs and performance goals.
  • AI & Machine Learning Initiatives : Drive AI and machine learning (ML) projects from ideation to implementation. Guide teams on selecting and deploying the right AI models and tools to enhance business operations, automate tasks, and drive competitive advantage.
  • Data Governance & Compliance : Establish data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with industry standards, legal requirements, and privacy regulations (such as GDPR). Promote data-driven decision-making while maintaining the integrity and security of sensitive data.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management : Work closely with senior management, product teams, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that provide business value. Present technical concepts and analytics results in an understandable and actionable format to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management : Oversee the development and execution of data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery, proper resourcing, and adherence to budgets. Track project progress, identify roadblocks, and work proactively to solve issues.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data analytics, BI, and AI technologies. Propose and implement innovative tools, techniques, and processes to continually improve the organization's data analytics capabilities.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting : Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of data analytics, BI, and AI initiatives. Provide regular reports and insights to the CIO and other senior leaders on the status and impact of these initiatives.
  • Team Development & Mentoring : Foster a high-performance team culture, supporting the professional growth and development of data engineers and other team members. Provide coaching, training, and feedback to build technical expertise and leadership within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8 years of experience in data management, analytics, or AI, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Proven experience leading data engineering, BI, and AI initiatives in a medium to large-scale organization.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, data pipelines, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • In-depth experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and analytics platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with AI and machine learning frameworks and platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn).
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, data lakes, data warehousing) and data storage solutions.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and best practices in data security.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data solutions and analytics findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Data Engineering, Data Science, or AI certifications (e.g., Google Professional Data Engineer, Microsoft Certified : Azure AI Engineer Associate).
  • Familiarity with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, AWS Data Pipeline).
  • Experience in implementing AI models in production environments, including model monitoring and tuning.
  • Familiarity with agile project management methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Compensation :

  • 250,000-$300,000 depending on skills and experience
