Venbrook Insurance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in managing daily HR functions and supporting human resource processes across all business locations.
Position Overview
The Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for ensuring personnel actions comply with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining strict adherence to compliance standards. This role requires a confident, process-oriented professional with strong organizational skills and effective communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding
- Conduct new employee orientations and assist with onboarding plan development
- Create offers for new hires, promotions, and transfers
Employee Relations and Performance Management
Manage basic level employee relations issuesAssist in maintaining accurate job descriptions and performance management activitiesBenefits Administration and Leave Management
Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plansServe as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiriesEnsure timely and accurate enrollment, changes, and terminations of benefits within HRIS System.Assist with 401k administrationAssist employees with leave of absence questionsWork with third party administrator on leave of absence administrationCompliance and Record Keeping
Maintain records of personnel-related data in both physical and electronic formAssist with administrative processing and auditing duties in HRIS, and Learning Management System (LMS)Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsComplete all government reporting (EEO-1)Employee Engagement and Development
Assist with employee engagement and retention programsSupport the development and administration of training programsParticipate in creating and maintaining relevant HR web pagesQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in Human ResourcesStrong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to benefits, leave, and compensationProficiency in HRIS systems, benefits administration platforms, and Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent organizational and multitasking skills with high attention to detailEffective communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications
Experience using WorkDay preferredProfessional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP)Experience with vendor management and benefits negotiationExperience in a dynamic, multi-state environment, knowledge of California labor laws is mandatoryWhat Venbrook Offers
