Job Overview
We are a professional, Danbury based organization seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead our HR department. We are hiring immediately and can offer a competitive compensation package, and flexible work schedule, for the right candidate. This key leadership role will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employee orientation, organization design, and HR sourcing, along with expertise in managing compliance with labor laws and regulations across multiple offices and states. Experience with Payroll processing, including ADP, as well as strong technology skills (Microsoft Office suite of products) are absolutely essential and will be prioritized in the hiring process.
Essential Duties
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support the organization's objectives.
- Oversee employee orientation/onboarding processes to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
- Utilize modern recruitment methods and organizational strategies to streamline and improve recruitment processes.
- Manage the Payroll system (ADP), benefits administration, and employee records.
- Ensure compliance with labor and employment regulations across multiple locations, and states, to ensure compliance across the board for a multi-state organization.
- Lead HR sourcing efforts to attract top talent across various departments.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting related to HR initiatives and staffing needs.
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 5 years of experience in a senior HR role, preferably as a Director or similar position.
- Strong technology skills including being extremely proficient at using Microsoft Office Products (including Excel) to an expert level.
- Ability to manage a cloud-based employee record system and create/format HR related documents to high standards.
- Knowledge of best practices and procedures related to a multi-jurisdictional organization, including ability to manage (and work with) a partially remote workforce.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices including FMLA compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on detail-oriented tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and resolve interpersonal conflict with minimal oversight.
- Experience in managing budgets related to human resources functions.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
