Who You Are:
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven Human Resources Generalist to play a key role in supporting our HR team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in administering employee benefits, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and contributing to the overall success of HR operations. You are organized, adaptable, and bring a collaborative spirit to everything you do, always striving to create a positive and efficient HR experience. Your ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality is key to your success in this role.
What You Are Accountable For:
- Employee Support & Guidance: Acts as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing clear, helpful answers on HR policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
- HRIS & Records Management: Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee information in HRIS system and ensures compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
- Benefits Administration: Coordinates benefits-related activities such as new hire enrollments, qualifying event changes, and open enrollment. Assists with employee communications and vendor coordination.
- Leave of Absence & Worker’s Compensation Administration: Manages the tracking, coordination, and documentation of employee leaves, including FMLA, parental leave, personal leave, and Workers' Compensation claims. Ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations and maintains clear communication with affected employees throughout the process.
- Recruiting & Talent Acquisition: Assists in full-cycle recruiting from job postings and resume screening to interview scheduling and candidate communication.
- New Hire Onboarding: Administers a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience, including paperwork, systems access, and orientation logistics.
- Employee Engagement & Culture Initiatives: Facilities HR-led initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture, including employee events, engagement surveys, recognition programs and wellness activities.
- Payroll: Supports and learns payroll processing by maintaining accurate employee data, assisting with payroll updates, and ensuring timely submissions.
- Policy, Compliance & Safety: Collaborates on the development and consistent application of HR policies and procedures. Stay up to date on employment laws and assist with ensuring company-wide compliance, including areas such as ADA, OSHA, COBRA, and I-9/E-Verify. Contribute to workplace safety initiatives and maintain related documentation and tracking.
Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
- Eagerness to learn and grow across all areas of HR
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms such as Paycom, or similar platforms
- Ability to analyze HR data, generate reports, and navigate digital tools efficiently
- Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, balance, reach with hands and arms, use fingers and wrists, and talk and hear.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
