Location :  Chicago, IL & Columbus, OH (In-Office 40 hrs / week)

Starting Salary :  $45,000 (Uncapped Commission) Monthly Compensation with Quota :  $4000 - $7,000 (Base Commission)

Overview :

The Gaylord Box Exchange  is seeking a motivated and results-driven  Sales Development Representative (SDR)  to join our dynamic team. This role offers  outstanding career growth potential  with a  structured leadership track , allowing you to advance into an  Account Executive  role within just 6 months.

Purpose of the Role :

As an SDR, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new  gaylord box generators  through targeted outbound prospecting efforts. This role gives you the opportunity to onboard new vendors, build a strong sales pipeline, and move into an Account Executive position once you meet your performance goals.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct outbound prospecting (cold calling, emailing, and social outreach) to identify and qualify potential customers.
  • Generate interest in our  box buyer program  and communicate its value to prospects.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to set up meetings and pass qualified leads for further engagement.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation and pipeline development.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects and accounts.

Requirements :

  • Previous experience in a sales or business development role, ideally in a B2B or technology environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly over the phone, email, and social media.
  • Ability to research, identify, and target potential business opportunities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesloft, etc.) is a plus.
  • Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to promote a sense of urgency in reaching goals and key deliverables.
  • Willingness to grow within the Sales organization and take on additional responsibilities.
