Position: Mechanical Inspector
Location: Bay Area, California (San Fransico, San Jose, Fremont, Oakland) Duration: On-going contract - On-demand Frequency: Average 20 Hours
Responsibilities
Mechanical Source Inspectors:
- Perform mechanical inspection using precision measuring devices/instruments at supplier’s facility to verify compliance to drawings, standards/specifications and other PO requirements
- Verify material certifications against PO requirements, part marking where required and visually inspect for obvious defects/ damage
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of precision mechanical inspection experience is required
- Strong understanding of, and experience with, ANSI Y 14.5 GD&T
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and basic computer skills are a must
- Experience working with tight tolerances
- Hands-on mechanical inspection experience
- Must have experience working with Mil-standards
- Previous source inspection experience
