This role will be responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing and hiring candidates for a variety of positions within the company. The talent acquisition specialist will be responsible for managing the recruitment process, and collaborating with leaders to identify staffing needs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Observe the highest level of confidentiality, discretion, judgement and security of all employee and company information
- Conduct thorough screenings and interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications, skills and cultural fit
- Schedule interviews for hiring leaders and sit in on interviews when needed
- Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, job requirements, and candidate preferences
- Utilize various sourcing methods, including online job boards, social media platforms, networking events, and referrals to identify candidates
- Craft engaging job postings that attract qualified candidates across multiple platforms
- Proactively seek out recruitment opportunities at local high schools, colleges and Universities
- Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract and hire individuals at all skill levels.
- Coordinate and attend career fairs, job fairs, and other recruitment/networking events to promote our company and attract prospective talent (occasionally outside of regular business hours)
- Provide interview coaching and mentorship to leaders
- Negotiate and extend job offers to selected candidates
- Support the onboarding process for new hires
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovative recruitment techniques
- Develop, maintain and update a prospective candidate pipeline to assist with future recruitment needs
- Conduct intake meetings for all new job postings with leaders
- Collaborate with department leaders on a quarterly basis to identify any succession planning opportunities that may result in future job postings
- Customer service/administrative responsibilities such as responding to employee questions, answering phone calls and e-mails
- Recommend new approaches, procedures, policies to effect continual improvements in automation and efficiency of the department and services performed
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
- Minimal to general supervision is received from the Vice President of Human Resources and Director of Human Resources.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business or other appropriate discipline; plus 2-4 years of recruitment experience
- Experience using ATS / other relevant recruitment software and tools - prior experience with ADP recruitment preferred;
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion; able to use sound judgment to effectively handle sensitive situations/documentation;
- Strong organizational and time management skills; Manage & prioritize competing demands, deadlines & unexpected events and meet deadlines;
- Effectively work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint;
- Familiarity with employment law and hiring regulations;
- Strong math & writing skills; able to maintain and create basic to complex spread sheets in Excel.
- Self-starter; able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as a strong team-player;
- Thorough, accurate, strong attention to detail;
- Superb interpersonal/customer service skills, work/interact courteously and objectively with a wide variety of company personnel/personalities, as well as outside vendors/contacts;

- Analyze various types of data; recommend and implement solutions;
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills; Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences;
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Predominantly sedentary light office position in a professional setting with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work and phone use
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
