What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Success Advising Student Worker-Student Employment (Workstudy Eligibility Required) position at Vermont State Colleges?
- Connect students to other departments or resources as necessary (ie: Career Development, Academic Support, Student Financial Support Services, Wellness & Counseling, Residential Life, International Student Support, etc.)
- Work closely with the Student Support Advisors to provide assistance in projects
- Assist students with general Portal, Canvas, and exploration platforms
- Demonstrate inclusivity and provide excellent customer service in all modalities
- Understanding the educational goals and objectives of Vermont State University including attention to accessibility and diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, accountable and follows-through, attention to detail
- Proficiency in technologies such as Self-Service, Canvas, Microsoft products, etc.
- Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals within the University and capacity to work as part of a team to collaborate
- Ability to work during busy office hour times and some off-hour events
