Sales Supervisor, East Hampton

The Sales Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Store Management staff in maximizing sales, providing an exceptional shopping experience for the customer and managing the store in accordance with the company visual and operational standards.

As a key member of the team, the Sales Supervisor assumes responsibility for the operations of a store as 'Manager-on-Duty' in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and strive for sales excellence and results.
• Ensure selling standards are met by working closely with customers and modeling excellent customer service and clienteling skills.
• Maximize sales through strong floor supervision and work with associates to develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Associate Development: Train and develop associates on product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service.
• Operational Excellence: Control company assets, ensure accuracy and compliance in cash, inventory, fixtures, and property.
• Store Standards: Execute floor-set and promotional directives, maintain store appearance, and adhere to company policies.
• Merchandising/Visual: Ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, organized, and reflects the correct visual image at all times.

Requirements

• 1-2 years retail Store Management position/experience in women's apparel (or related field).
• Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Strong verbal and communication skills (Spanish speaking is a plus).
• Strong observation skills – identifying and assessing customer and employee behavior, reactions, and floor awareness.
• Ability to retain and utilize data, i.e. names, merchandise, information, policies, and procedures.
