Description Aurorium is currently seeking a Global Materials Manager to be located at one of our manufacturing facilities in the US. The roles will help deliver the goals and objectives of the Global Strategic Sourcing organization. The role supports global sourcing project execution of all aspects of the procurement process relating to tolling, packaging, and direct materials. The ideal candidates will be self-starters focused on delivering results who can work independently, identify, and provide continuous improvement opportunities, and thrive in a team environment.
Job Details Role Specific Responsibilities :
Commodities and projects :
- Lead sourcing effort of assigned commodities and tolling projects
- Manage contract negotiation and pricing updates of assigned products
- Negotiate based on the best value, service, and quality as per requirements
- Select and manage vendor relationship
- Engage the Quality and Commercial team in the new supplier qualification process
- Work closely with the supply chain on getting rolling forecasts for production requirements and collaborate on solutions
- Understand and analyze cost and market drivers that impact assigned products and services
- Monitor and evaluate Supplier / Toller performance
- Conduct alternative sourcing to reduce single and sole sourcing
