The Role :

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join the ElevateBio Finance team. The Finance team at ElevateBio serves as a key stakeholder in every strategic decision the business makes, including cost analysis, pricing, revenue, and line of business profitability analysis. We help our Cell & Gene Therapy manufacturing businesses to understand all the costs and inform the pricing strategy for each service offering. We help the C-level executives to understand each line of business and customer segment profitability and forecast and how it has performed to date. We help build our businesses from the ground up in a careful, deliberate way.

Here’s What You’ll Do :

• Develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies, including structuring for efficient partnership and corporate tax of our businesses domestically and abroad.
• Establish strategies to optimize businesses with regard to federal, state, and indirect taxes.
• Actively manage relationships with third-party tax advisors to synthesize and achieve balance between in-house and external tax support.
• Oversee completion of federal, international, state and local tax filings, including all related analysis and support.
• Lead the preparation of income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 and required financial reporting disclosures.
• Monitor changes in tax laws, regulations and enforcement that may impact tax positions, including tax accounting implications.
• Manage all tax projects including due diligence, tax impacts of new locations, products and / or services, and all tax studies.
• Ensure appropriate internal controls related to tax matters are in place and operating effectively.
• Support establishment and maintenance of formal tax policies, practices and procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable tax regulations.
• Prepare and ensure compliance of timely payments of company state and local income tax across multiple jurisdictions, including estimated payments and extensions.
• Manage audits, notices and enquiries received from federal and state tax authorities.
• Manage compliance of property tax filings and other applicable business filings.
• Drive implementation of system improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist the Finance team in cash forecasting and management.
