What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Receptionist position at Veterinary Hospital of Virginia Beach?
Our growing small animal hospital is hiring for the position of full time receptionist. A warm, inviting personality is a must. You will be responsible for greeting clients with their pets. Answering phone calls from prospective clients and current clients. Duties include scheduling appointments, handling payments, cleaning, inventory, and transcribing medical records. Experience is preferred, but on the job training is provided. Saturday hours are required and occasional weekend kennel duties are shared by all staff. A criminal background check is required for consideration.
Summary
As a Lead Veterinary Receptionist, you will be essential in managing front desk operations and ensuring a welcoming environment for clients and their pets. Your core skills in veterinary terminology, animal handling, and pet care will be vital in assisting clients and managing medical records. In addition, your premium skills in medical collection and will enhance the efficiency of our practice. With relevant skills in transcription and a passion for animal welfare, you will contribute significantly to the overall success of our veterinary team.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
