Estimator job description:
VGM is a leading metals structures design and manufacturing company in SWFL. Our rapid growth necessitates the hiring of experienced estimators an project engineers that would help us serve our customers with quality products and service. Our philosophy is to deliver our projects on time and on budget, whatever it takes. We are seeking experienced estimators that would enforce our vision.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and client relationships
· Communicate and meet with prospective clients on-site to determine needs, and market our products and services
· Analyze project specifications, perform takeoffs and accurately determine quamtities
· Perform pre-proposal duties (on-site measurements, preliminary drawings/designs)
· Develop an accurate proposal based on material, equipment, and labor costs
· Responsible for Projects from End to End (sales inception to customer payment)
· Responsible for providing comprehensive and accurate information to the Engineering and CAD dept
· Be the customer liaison for all issues that may come up during the project
· Coordinate project documentation & logistics from design through fabrication and project installation
· Demonstrate teamwork ability to collaborate with multiple departments on projects
· Oversee and review project plans, requirements, and specifications
· Understand all bid documents and assess project risks
· Manage customer service for all clients
· Represents the company in a positive and professional manner
· Supporting all business aspects of the company as directed
Requirements/Experience:
· Construction related Sales Experience required
· railings, sunshades, awning/canopy Sales experience a plus
· Demonstrated progressive Outside Sales experience
· Project Management experience preferred
· Strong attention to detail and polished organizational skills
· Good leadership and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication (oral/written), sales, and customer service skills
· The ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
· Current knowledge of industry trends and regulations
· Advanced computer skills with various software (including word, excel, design, auto-cad)
· Effective presentation skills
· Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
· Understand aspects of structural steel, aluminum, wood, and other materials
· Self-disciplined, self-starter
· Technically savvy and mechanically minded necessary
· Driver s License (good standing)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $69,430.00 - $77,306.00 per year
