Summary: The Legal and Research Assistant is responsible for delivering comprehensive legal, logistical, and administrative support to a select group of corporate attorneys within the Firm. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive research on legal and financial topics to gather relevant information and insights. Prepare letters, memos, presentations, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Assist in preparing legal arguments and strategies by providing detailed research findings. Redline, revise, proofread and draft legal correspondences, speeches, and articles with precision and attention to detail. Efficiently maintain the attorneys’ filing system and handle client billing. Screen telephone calls and relay accurate messages promptly. Manage a comprehensive calendar, including deadlines, meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements. Foster positive client relationships while ensuring confidentiality. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm, professional, and composed under pressure. Ability to work independently, taking full ownership of both business-related administrative tasks and personal matters. Collaborate effectively within a team, including managing and coordinating paid time off (PTO) schedules. Flexible and willing to work overtime, including early mornings and evenings, as required. Excel at multitasking and managing competing priorities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all requests. Excellent interpersonal skills and outstanding proficiency in the English language, enabling effective oral and written communication. Detail-oriented and results-driven, consistently providing effective solutions to inquiries. Proficient in using computer equipment and software to prepare and edit documents effectively. Proactively anticipate needs and take initiative as a self-starter. Maintains confidence and poise in high-stress situations. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree required. Notary Public license or willingness to become a Notary. Prior exposure to a legal environment preferred. Working Conditions: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. The expected base salary for this role is $60,000. The base salary offer is based on a variety of factors which includes, but not limited to qualifications, education and experience.
