What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Manager position at Vicon Construction LLC?
The Quality Control Manager will be a full-time position with heavy travel across the United States. The person in this role will work with executive leadership to create and implement QC standards for preconstruction and construction purposes. They will oversee preconstruction material purchases to ensure they meet project specifications. They will be traveling to project sites working with field personnel to prevent known QC issues and help resolve any QC issues that may occur.

- Collaborate with preconstruction and field operations to identify potential issues with project specific designs and specifications.
- Create standard operating procedures to assist preconstruction and field operations in plan and specification review
Assist with Preconstruction Material Submittals
- Review all project specific documents to identify potential QC issues and assist with alternate solutions.
- Review concrete mix designs to ensure that materials, additives and slump is appropriate for designed use.
Travel to Project Sites
- Coordinate with Supervisor and Field operations team to arrange job site visits.
- Walk with project team(s) to review work in place and identify QC related items that should be addressed.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
- Assist project team with identifying potential QC related items in upcoming phases of work.
- Instruct and train project team on appropriate measures to mitigate risk.
Customer Interaction
- Respond to customer concerns in a timely manner.
- Provide solutions to QC related items using ACI, ASTM, and project specific standards.
- Resolve conflict with cost conscious solutions that satisfy project requirements.
Ensuring Brand Consistency
- Maintain brand consistency across all projects.
- Incorporate feedback from customers to refine internal and external procedures.
Staying Updated on Design Trends
- Keep up with the industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Apply new techniques and trends to enhance in place product.
Qualifications
Proven background in Industrial warehouse concrete construction.
Proven experience with quality control initiatives.
Knowledge and understanding of ACI and ASTM standards.
Strong understanding of concrete mix designs, including materials and additives.
Ability to read and understand project specifications and material data documents.
Proficiency in Bluebeam, Adobe, Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong conflict resolution skills.
Frequent travel to various locations across the United States.
